It's a new year and I've made a resolution to actually do something creative each day. I've slipped some, but am working on finding all the floor in my studio and inventorying (in my mind , at least) what I have, and what I don't use and need to pass on. It is hard to get rid of "stash", might need it one day, after all. But I'm seeing my limits and my lack of motivation as an incentive to get it done. I actually, have a warp on my "Cricket" loom and have been crocheting. One of my goals this year is to do the Saturday Market in Kenai. With that in mind, I have to step it up some.
As you can see , there's still lots to do!!!

I was in Colorado last week to get my household items finally shipped to Alaska. It was a whirlwind trip and I'm still not sure if I'm coming or going. I'm not sure how I would of got it done without my wonderful daughter(in-law). And my sons and other daughter( in law ) who kept my doggies(very spoiled puppies)

My Grand daughter camping out with the dogs!
It was nice seeing family and old friends, even if it was only briefly. I'm looking forward to having my looms and spinning wheel here and handy should the urge to be creative hits me!
It's another page turning for me and I know there will be many more changes coming in my life. My next big event will be buying my own place. Plant my roots again.

It's a new year and new beginnings for me. I have finally sold the Colorado house, and am going back to Crawford to get my things. Next big step will be to purchase a place of my own here in Alaska. I still am having a hard time knowing what's next, but that's what life is all about. Each day is a new challenge. The days are getting longer and with the sunshine, I am seeing a future of sorts.
I am finally feeling creative again, and hope to have a project going in the near future. My biggest decision will be what medium I will use. Maybe more than one, who knows.

It seems like packing is a never ending task, but I am finally seeing a little light at the end of the tunnel. Now to figure out how to get it stored and the rest packed in the car.

We bought a new car for our trip North! Now we can take all the pets and of course a lot of my fiber projects! I've already figured out how to squeeze in as much as possible! ![]()
Here's a picture of the new ride!

Holy Moly, where does all this stuff come from??? I'm sure it mulitiplies and mutates. Goodness knows I haven't added to the hoard! Packing, sorting, mailing and filling the dumpster....that's my life for a while. Can't wait to get on the road, and head north!

We are finally going to move! ALASKA HERE WE COME! We have decided just to go on and leave, even if the house doesn't sell!! Our plan is to leave on June 8, only weeks away! We want to be with our children and grandchildren. So in a few weeks, all orders will be delayed.
It takes a couple of weeks to drive there. Just goes to show...never to old
for another adventure. This is the view from one of my kid's house!
Wil be adding updates and notes on our travels periodically.

I've been having a real hard time getting motivated. Seems like my mind will only focus on getting us moved. The worst is I know if I start being creative again, the time will pass more quickly. One of these days!

I have finally decided what my next project will be....a tapestry of Alaska's volcanoes. Redoubt erupted this year and Augustine a couple of years ago. I will post progress as it developes.
First, Augustine:
